Firsd Tea’s Golden Monkey black tea is a Dian Hong-style tea, which is the traditional Chinese name for black teas from Yunnan Province. Organic golden monkey tips differ from the black teas of other areas due to their smoother, silkier texture, their sweeter, raisin-like flavors, and more coppery-color liquor. When oxidized to make black tea, the needles or tips become a golden brown color while retaining the fuzzy texture of the tender buds. Higher grades of Golden Monkey contain higher concentrations of golden tips.
